Not my cup of tea but theres no doubt Dub-Step and Electro have gotten a massive amount of attention in the last 5 years. What my problem with it is, theres no history behind it, and if there is, its seldom, and seldom enough that DJs of the genre cant even pay homage to their own people and creators by playing historic classic Dub-Step/Electro tracks at concerts. I strongly believe (and this is probably going to raise some eyebrows) but I strongly believe with Hip Hop artists switching to this type of music its a shame. I understand its cool to diversify and try to reach different listeners, but I could see that from an amateur coming into the Hip Hop game i.e. ASAP Rocky but someone like DJ Muggs and Cypress, it just doesnt work!, Heads are used to that boom-bap, spine-chilling production and now they bring us this boom boom boom, annoying and repetitive noise, come on Muggs, Hip Hop needs you! None the less heres DJ Muggs with A$AP Rocky for "Dank". Post comments tell me what you think! and educate me on the history of Dub-Step and Electro! Please!
