This track was originally slated for the classic album "Return of The Boom Bap" which is entirely produced by Gangstarr's own DJ Premier, but was scrapped from the album but has turned up nearly 20 years after the original release.
I have a story about KRS One...Back in 2008 KRS performed a concert at The Opera House in Toronto, now this show happened to fall not only on my birthday weekend but the draw-back was, that weekend London experienced one of our worst snow storms the day of the show. The 401 was one lane, I couldnt see infront of me, everything was backed up, anyways long story short, it took 4 and half hours to drive to Toronto from London but this show and Ive seen alot of shows including 2 Rock The Bells festivals, Busta Rhymes twice (which falls 2nd best concert of all time) Cypress Hill, The Roots, way more I just cant think right now, but KRS One tops all of them!, this guy went in the middle of a sold out crowd and started ripping it with a break dancer next to him killing it on the floor!, he then grabbed the whole crowds attention with no mic..yes..no mic! strictly voice and the audiences ears. The other thing which was cool about him (and no other artist Ive seen, has done this) but KRS went around the crowd (including my area) and shook peoples hands (including mine) and thanked us all personally for coming out! I have never seen an artist accomplish what KRS gave us that night, from stage presence to track selection to crowd involvement, plus The RZA was in the crowd watching the show, and KRS called him on stage! It was truely something special and it will always live as my number one show! If you ever get a chance to see him live or even in a discussion seminar, his beliefs and knowledge are nothing but inspiring.
